Sprinkler Valve and Solenoid Repair in Salt Lake City
A zone won’t turn on—or it won’t stop running. The valve may be involved, but the wiring and controller can cause similar symptoms. We check those pieces together so you don’t replace a part that was working all along.
Call (385) 226-5764 or text us what you’re seeing.
Signs to mention when you call
A valve problem may leave a zone dry, running too long, or seeping between cycles. Water collecting in the valve box is another reason to take a closer look.
The valve is only part of the picture
The trouble can be in the valve body, internal seal, solenoid, wiring, or signal from the controller. A wet box doesn’t prove the valve is leaking; water can reach it from a nearby pipe.
Useful checks without taking it apart
Note the affected zone and what happens with the controller off. Photograph labels you can see without taking anything apart. Don’t loosen a pressurized valve cover or work on live electrical connections.
Repair the failed part when it makes sense
We identify the valve and check both the electrical signal and water flow. A compatible internal part may be enough. A cracked body or unavailable parts may mean replacing the valve. We’ll explain how access and pipe condition affect the job.
A valve repair described by a customer
In his Google review, Stephen Russell reported that his valve was repaired quickly and worked better than the original installation. Our response identifies Fernando as the technician. The review does not identify the valve model or the failed component, so it should not be used to diagnose another system.

Three steps to getting it sorted
- Call or text with your city and what you’ve noticed. A photo helps if the problem is visible.
- Arrange a system check. Talk through the cause, repair options, and pricing before deciding on the work.
- Go over the result and ask what to watch for between visits.
Can you replace only the solenoid?
Sometimes, once testing shows it’s the failed part and we have a compatible replacement. A new solenoid won’t repair a cracked valve body, damaged diaphragm, or bad wire connection.
