The planting bed is soggy, but the edge of the lawn is still dry. If that sounds like your Holladay yard, adding watering time may only make the wet area wetter. We’ll help you check where the water goes and whether the fix belongs at a head, valve, or timer.
Call (385) 226-5764 or text Sprinkler Master Repair to discuss service in Holladay.

Give lawn and planting beds the attention they need
Shrubs grow into spray paths, and shaded beds don’t always need what the open lawn needs. Watch where the spray lands. If lawn sprinklers and drip share controls, we can discuss whether separate scheduling is practical.
Sprinkler repairs and seasonal service
Whether it’s a broken head, pipe leak, valve, drip system, or controller setting, we can help you work out the next step. We also handle startup and winterization. Browse our sprinkler services or troubleshooting FAQs.
What the soil in your yard can tell you
Check the bed and lawn separately. Soil brought in for a garden may absorb water differently from the ground beside it. If water runs down a slope before soaking in, shorter cycles with a pause between them may help.
Want a starting point for soil information? Try the USDA NRCS Web Soil Survey. Compare the map with what you find in your yard, especially where soil has been moved or replaced. The USU irrigation resource explains how to check water delivery and work out a schedule.
Water providers, maps, and current notices
The City of Holladay utility directory and your bill help identify the correct provider. Relevant water sources include Holliday Water Company and Salt Lake City Public Utilities; do not confuse a sewer district with the water supplier.
Follow the notices from the provider named on your account. A restriction or delivery announcement for one district should not automatically be applied to every Holladay address.
Check official water-service boundaries. Provider and resource links checked October 1, 2026.
Secondary water, startup, and shutdown
Not sure whether your property has secondary water? Start with the state secondary-water lookup instructions to find a possible supplier, then call to confirm your connection. Ask when delivery starts and ends this year, what limits apply, and how to read any meter. Don’t use another district’s dates for your property.
How much should I water?
Start with the current Utah weekly lawn watering guide and your provider’s rules. Then check recent rain, shade, soil moisture, and how much the sprinklers deliver. Your sunny front lawn and shaded back corner may need different settings.
Let’s get your sprinklers sorted
- Call or text with your address and what you’ve noticed. Let us know your water source if you know it.
- Arrange a system check, then talk through the repair and price before you decide.
- Go over how the system runs after the work and ask which seasonal settings to watch.
